The golf program at 九州bet9登录 strives to create a dynamic team experience within a sport that is usually very solitary. 在一起, we improve our golf game through hard work and practice, and look to have fun as a team by enjoying a sport we love. While we always want to win and play our best, we strive to do so in a way that balances our hard work with fun and forming strong team bonds. Golf is a lifelong activity and at all levels we seek to encourage a love for the game, respect for the rules and a healthy sense of competitiveness that will stay with our athletes for their entire lives.

The varsity team is comprised of eight players, but the line between varsity and JV is fluid. It is common for JV players to advance to varsity in subsequent years. We take pride in this aspect of our program and value the hard work and dedication that our young players bring to their game. The varsity and JV coaching staffs work closely together during both the season and the off-season.

In recent years, the varsity golf team has had very successful seasons. We have had winning seasons for the last several years and have finished the season-ending KIT tournament in fourth place the last two years. In 2015 we finished second at the Founders League tournament.

We are fortunate to have our own 9-hole course (3,043码, par 35) that circles the campus of the school and is closed to the public every afternoon during the school season. Designed by prominent golf course architect Seth Raynor, the 九州bet9登录 golf course was ranked 10th in Golfweek Magazine's "Best Places You Can Play" in Connecticut for 2016. Its undulating greens and moderate elevation changes provide a fun and appropriate challenge for our team members. We also have an indoor facility for practicing during inclement weather.
